Dog Walk Forecast (the "App") does not collect your personal information. No account is required.
Everything you enter in the App (your dog's name, breed, birthday and photo, your vet's and emergency vet's phone numbers, walk logs, and so on) is stored only on your device. It is never sent to any external server, including the developer's. The only exception is the information listed under "Share with family," which is stored in iCloud when you use that feature.
Only when you use "Share with family," the following is stored in Apple's iCloud (CloudKit sharing) and shared only with the family members you invite. It is stored in the iCloud account of the person who invites.
The developer cannot see this information, and no developer server is used. Walk logs, your dog's details, photos, your region and your location are not shared.
"Walked" is shown only for that day. After the date changes, it is deleted from iCloud the next time the inviter's App loads it. When a family member leaves or is removed, their "Walked" for that day and their name are deleted. When the inviter stops sharing, all shared information is deleted. Information in iCloud is handled under Apple's Privacy Policy.
The App uses your device's location only when you choose "Use my current location" in the region settings.
In either case, the developer never receives your location. If you choose a region from the list, location permission is not needed.
When you search for a place that is not in the list of municipalities in Japan, the App sends the text you typed to Apple's map service to find cities around the world. The developer never receives it. Places outside Japan that you choose (the city name and its position) are stored only on your device.
To show the weather, the App accesses Apple's Weather service using the position of the region you chose (for municipalities in Japan, predefined coordinates). For places outside Japan, weather alerts also come from Apple's Weather service. For municipalities in Japan, the App also accesses public data from the Japan Meteorological Agency. These requests do not include your personal information. Information sent to Apple's map and Weather services is handled under Apple's Privacy Policy.
To show the "News" line at the top of the screen, the App loads a notice file from the App's support page (GitHub Pages). This request does not include your personal information.
Walk summaries, alerts and other notices use local notifications on your device only.
"Premium" (monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions) is purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase (StoreKit). Payment information is handled by Apple, and the App never receives it.
We do not provide information to third parties. The App shows no ads and uses no external analytics tools or SDKs.
The App's walk forecasts, pavement temperatures and WBGT are estimates from weather data and may differ from actual conditions. The App does not provide veterinary diagnosis or treatment advice. If you are worried about your pet's health, please consult a veterinarian.
